Goat Milk Cheese, Soap and a Whole Lot More...
Multi color Eggs...from our uncaged chickens!
The main (and in most cases only) difference between free-range and factory-farmed eggs is that the birds
of the former type are permitted to roam freely within the farmyard and kept in sheds or hen houses only at
night. However, the U.S. Department of Agriculture currently has no standards, and allows egg producers
to freely label any egg as a free-range egg.

Our eggs are collected from a variety of chickens selected for customer standards of
preference (white or brown eggs) and for our standards (green, blue, or pinkish
eggs) from White Leghorns, New Hampshire Reds, and Araucanas. Best quality
grains, crushed oyster shells, daily cleaned water, appropriate lighting, and frequent
cleaning of the chicken house produce top quality and very fresh eggs – from
chickens to boxing to sales point is often the same day and always in one week. For
awhile, we enjoyed free range chickens especially as the araucanas can fly way up
into our cedar trees, but we could never tell how old the eggs were that we found, so
we rounded them up (not an easy task) and filled our chicken house and play yard.
Now we know. This farm is such a learning process for us. As an added interest for
our egg producers, we have a second story balcony and many perches for them to
experience. Every morning when we collect the eggs, we hear them saying – thank
you, thank you.

GREETING CARDS AND MAGNETS
A special friend’s photography out of gifted eyes, a
talent learned during recovery and convalescent from
a head injury, has produced attractive greeting cards
available in the Stall Store at our farm. Charlene loves
helping around the farm and is willing to do anything
from mucking out stalls to milking our Ladies. She is a
joy to us – always smiling and laughing.

WOOL PRODUCTS
Our Dorset sheep grow luxuriant, thick wool which is sheared, washed, and carded into rovings.
Occasionally the wool is dyed. These rovings, too, are available in our Stall Store.
